It does work now. And it should until 2034-12-07 (at least).

A nice year 2034 problem.
I once worked on an app that had the bug using the users locale for a dateformat in a request.
The user had a locale which does not use arabic numbers (wth).
I added an `if($date[0]=='weird char for the number 2') convertWeirdDate()` which breaks the app again in the year 3000.
